India's tragedy is that in the last 65 years the government has been a 'ma-bap' sarkar trying to give food to people in the name of socialism. The country will make progress only when there is sustainable progress through empowerment - education, health, employment, innovation and enterprise. This is what Modi is trying to do. Don't give people fish, educate them how to fish.
