Modi lessons for CPM.

Modi lessons for CPM

The Left led by CPM have not yet come to terms with the fact that Communism is a god that failed. This was discovered by Arthur Koestler and his other 5 comrades in 1949. There were books like Animal Farm, 1984, The New Class which describe Communism in practice. The subjugation of the Eastern Europe by the Soviet Union and its failure to uplift the standard of living of the people ultimately led to the fall of the Berlin Wall, and the failure of the Soviet experiment. However, the Communist China led by Deng Xiaoping, after the demise of Mao Zedong, took the capitalistic path with the slogan ' It does not matter whether the cat is black or white as long as it catches mice'. As Ashutosh( IE,30/4)  pointed out in his analysis, Deng re-invented Chinese Communism. Jiang Zemin combined Deng's pragmatism (free market) with  Confucian Chinese values to make it a mandate of heaven. The result is there for all to see. CPM cannot reinvent itself without changing their mindset which is conditioned by communist theory and philosophy - class struggle, dictatorship of the proletariat, religion as opium etc. Fundamentalists cannot be pragmatic. It is the same situation in other parties as well including the Congress and its variants, Samajwadi parivar, DMK, AIADMK and Aam Aadmi Party. They all follow the same policies which have failed India and its people - doles, not empowerment. They all think of short-term, not long-term. Modi has saved BJP and the people of India with his pragmatism, and the implementation of simple things like providing water, power and good governance to people in Gujarat, and now he has an opportunity to do it for India.
